Problem Statement
Our team successfully developed PharmaGuard, an AI-driven
pharmacogenomic risk prediction platform built during the RIFT
2026 HealthTech Hackathon.
Description
PharmaGuard analyzes patient genomic data (VCF files) to identify
clinically significant variants across six critical pharmacogenes
— CYP2D6, CYP2C19, CYP2C9, SLCO1B1, TPMT, and DPYD. Using this
information, the system predicts personalized drug-response risks
(Safe, Adjust Dosage, Toxic, Ineffective, or Unknown) for
medications including Codeine, Warfarin, Clopidogrel, Simvastatin,
Azathioprine, and Fluorouracil.
